Lightest Umbrella
Item No: Airbrella 001

Superain Lightest Umbrella

Superain lightest umbrellas have been made lighter by using a frame of light and durable carbon fiber and aluminum.

This is an ultra-light umbrella that is large but has lightness and durability with a wind-resistant structure to withstand wind up to 15m / s.

Weight: Most of the materials used for the frame of a folding umbrella are steel and fiberglass, and the general weight is about 200 to 250 grams. The Superain lightest umbrella uses carbon fiber and aluminum for the umbrella frame, achieving a weight of 99 grams.

In addition, the fabric is made lighter and thinner than general products by using 10 denier ultrafine fibers.

Superain Lightest Umbrella Material Part and Feature:

  • Carbon fiber frame

Carbon fiber, which is also used to reduce the weight of aircraft, is used for the ribs and bones.

Carbon fiber is a light, durable and elastic material, but it is not used in general umbrellas due to its high cost. The Superain lightest umbrella uses carbon fiber to meet the needs of users who want a light and durable umbrella.

  • Aluminum is used for the shaft and auxiliary bone

There are joint parts inside the shaft to expand and contract the shaft, and drilling is essential. Aluminum is used because it is a lightweight and durable material and easy to process.

It is technically possible to use carbon fiber for the shaft, but aluminum is superior in terms of lightness, strength, cost, yield, etc.

  • 50 denier polyester-Lightweight fabric material

The fabric has been improved to pursue lightness. The traditional Superain lightest umbrella series used the fine 50-denier polyester that is also used in stockings. At the time of development, it was possible to manufacture 10 denier fabrics with finer fibers, but the fabrics were not stiff and were not suitable for folding umbrellas.

Since its launch in September 2016, the Superain lightest umbrella series has been jointly developed with fabric manufacturers, and over three and a half years, a 10-denier fabric suitable for folding umbrellas has been completed, reducing the weight by 15% compared to conventional fabrics. Succeeded. The total number of vertical and horizontal hits per inch of the fabric is 411, which is a high-density fabric, so even lightweight fabrics do not have to worry about rain leaking.

  • Light but durable

Wind resistance Wind resistance

Umbrellas up to now will be weaker if they are made lighter, and heavier if they are made stronger.

Not only is the Superain lightest umbrella light, but it is also made of carbon fiber for strength and durability.

A wind resistance test is conducted by a third-party inspection organization, and it has a durable frame structure that can withstand wind speeds of up to 15 m / s.

  • Strong water-repellent continuous processing Easy-Dry

The surface of the fabric is treated with Easy-Dry, which keeps strong water repellency, and if you shake the umbrella 2-3 times after use, most of the water droplets will come off.

  • The reason why the strong water repellent effect lasts

Easy-Dry is a type of fabric coating that maintains water repellency. By improving the water repellent to nano-class fine particles, it penetrates deep into the fibers and achieves extremely high water repellency.

In addition, the fine water repellent reduces the unevenness of the fiber surface. This makes it difficult for the coating to peel off, increasing the durability of the water-repellent effect. The main component of Easy-Dry’s raw material is the same “fluorine” as the wax used in cars.
